Hillcrest 

Sitting at the crossroads of San Diego is Hillcrest. Located near downtown, Hillcrest is northwest of worth renowned Balboa Park and the famous San Diego Zoo. Hillcrest is an accepting urban village with a small town feel. In 2007, the community celebrated its first 100 years. In October of 2007, Hillcrest was designated as one of the top ten great neighborhoods in America by the APA.  

Hillcrest has blossomed into one of the hippest, most happening communities in the nation. Each year Hillcrest sponsors, the "City Fest" which brings out the bands, beers, and vendors for the whole community to enjoy. There is also the weekly Sunday Farmer's market in Hillcrest near the Uptown District, which features local produce, food and crafts. Every year in July, Hillcrest hosts the San Diego’s LGBT Pride Festival including a parade down University on Saturday and a 2 day festival in Balboa Park.
